Here are some of the drawings for the new house. Keep in mind....I am not building my dream home. We have some significant limitations in terms of the lot dimensions, our budget, the architecture in the surrounding area (nothing built after 1950 - but mostly 30's & 40's)
Our builder did not have an easy task. Fitting all of our "needs" into a narrow, not too large design was tricky. I think he did a nice job. Let me know what you think.
We are still up in the air about a few items.
My husband would really like a standing seam roof - to help complete the more rural/farmhouse look - but, it's a lot more expensive. We're trying to see it we could have some metal & some shingle to still accomplish that look. Also - we are trying to decide whether or not to have a 2nd story porch.
